This week I am reading Inhuman by Kat Falls and I am only so many pages in, but so far, there is a girl named Delaney Park McEvoy, who is a senior in high school. She, ever since she was young, always wanted to see the Feral Zone across a giant wall called the Titan. Her father an "artist" told her stories about this place, but told her about it as code as if she were to go there one day. Now, the Feral Zone is where no one can go unless you are a banished criminal, soldier/patrol and/or a scientist. The wall, the Titan that separated the Western side of the Mississippi River from the Eastern side. It was made because 19 years ago, by the same people who built the Titan, created this virus called the Ferae Naturae Virus that had spread all over the eastern side of America. This virus has no vaccine or cure, and it travels to another human or animal by a bite and can be given to another human or animal by a human or animal. 19 years ago when this virus was first made, it killed anyone who got it, but now it doesn't kill you, it makes you mutate and become "inhuman". One day Delaney is at a party with her friends at one of their friends house and is taken away by Biohaz agents because she had "potential exposure" to this virus. SPOILER ALERT she doesn't have it. This women, Dr. Spurling, wanted to talk to her about her father, the so called "artist". Dr. Spurling told Delaney about how her father is actually a fetch, someone who sneaks over the Titan to the Feral Zone and fetches items from the East, and made a deal with Delaney that if she can find her father and tell him to fetch something for Dr. Spurling, then she won't expose everything about her father. Delaney decides to do this because if you are a fetch you will be executed since you might be infected with the virus. The problem is Delaney doesn't really know how to protect herself and she doesn't even know where her father is. I hope you enjoyed this small summary of what I've read so far and that anyone reading this decides to read this book Inhuman.
